Acoustic Insulation – Enhancing Quality of Life

Acoustic insulation is a crucial consideration when selecting building materials, significantly improving residents' comfort—especially in dense, busy urban environments. Effective noise insulation helps reduce disturbances, creating a quieter and more pleasant living space.

Superior Sound Insulation Compared to Standard Blocks

Thanks to its unique porous structure, low density, and airy composition, the Ashkalit 268 white block provides excellent acoustic resistance—significantly reducing sound transmission through walls while also lowering the structural load. According to the Israeli acoustic insulation standard (SI 1004), the minimum required sound insulation between residential units is 50 decibels. A 22 cm thick wall made of Ashkalit 268 white blocks with plaster achieves up to 51 decibels—exceeding the national standard.

Innovative Three-Layer Wall System

An exclusive development combines 10 cm and 15 cm-thick acoustic blocks, 16 mm gypsum cladding on both sides, and 24 kg/cu.m. glass wool packed between them. This system offers high acoustic resistance, reducing noise transfer while keeping structural load low. Ideal for apartments, offices, hotels, and hospitals, it achieves an insulation level of at least 62 dB—far exceeding Israeli standards.
